1. Overview

Vibe Klip is a self-hosted application: it runs on the user's own device and stores its data locally on that device, not on a shared server operated by us. This policy describes what data the app handles, where it lives, and how it is used.

2. What we collect

When you connect a social media account, Vibe Klip stores, locally on your device:

• The access token (and refresh token, where the platform issues one) needed to publish on your behalf;
• Your basic public profile information from that platform (display name, handle, profile picture) — used only to show which account is connected;
• The content you choose to queue or publish (captions, media files, scheduling times).

We do not collect your platform password at any point — authentication happens through each platform's own official login flow (OAuth), and Vibe Klip never sees your credentials.

3. What we don't collect

Vibe Klip does not read your private messages, does not access your contacts or friends list, and does not collect analytics on your viewing or browsing activity on any connected platform. It requests only the API scopes required to publish content and read basic profile information.

4. Where data is stored

All account tokens and queued content are stored in a local database on the device running Vibe Klip. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Nothing is uploaded to a third-party server operated by us — the only network calls Vibe Klip makes are directly to each connected platform's own official API, to publish content or refresh a token.

5. How TikTok data is used

For accounts connected via TikTok's API, Vibe Klip uses the user.info.basic scope to display your TikTok username and profile photo, and the video.publish / video.upload scopes solely to publish the videos you choose to post. TikTok data obtained through the API is used only to provide this publishing function and is not shared with any other service, sold, or used for advertising.

6. Data retention and deletion

Data persists locally for as long as the account remains connected. Disconnecting an account removes its stored token immediately. Because storage is local to your device, uninstalling the application removes all remaining data.

7. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is only ever sent to the platform it belongs to, using that platform's own official API, in order to carry out the publishing action you requested.

8. Your choices

You can disconnect any connected account at any time from within the app, which revokes local storage of that account's token. You can also revoke Vibe Klip's access directly from each platform's own app permissions settings (for example, TikTok's "Manage third-party apps" page), which invalidates the token independently of Vibe Klip.

9. Children's privacy

Vibe Klip is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the minimum age required to hold an account on the platforms it connects to.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
